Self Through Kites
This project, inspired by The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, includes three Short Stories with themes from the novel, such as Friendship, Love, Epiphany, Catharsis, etc.
We wrote our stories, got them critiqued through the Drafting and Revision Process, and submitted our final drafts to Joann. After we completed our short stories, we constructed kites. We chose symbols that represented our short stories to paint onto the face of our kites. Construction of the kite was the hardest part for me, I had many bumps along the way with string breaking, paint to heavy, etc.
All in all, I enjoyed this project as we got to be creative with writing fictional short stories and building a kite.
