The "Mole"bile

In Chemistry, we made mobiles that were focused around the concept of a Mole, hence the name "Mole"bile.

A Mole is a unit of quantity. My favorite analogy is that MOLE:DOZEN::6.022x10E23:12

6.022x10E23 is Avogadro's Number! Avogadro's Number is a constant: the amount of Carbon-12 atoms in 12 grams of Carbon-12.

As you can see with the above analogy, the concept of the mole is the same as the concept of a dozen.

Unlike the dozen, the mole does not measure how many donuts from Dunkin Donuts one can consume in a day. Instead, moles are used to measure small stuff, like how many atoms in a batch, so to say. Moles can also measure molecules and sub-atomic particles.

Since I already had a good understanding of Avogadro and his constant and moles going into this project, I learned some other stuff during the project. Making my "mole"bile I learned about Raspberry Ketone (our compound). This compound was later featured in our Diet Digest project. The other thing I learned when doing the Molebile was that I work really well with KJ. Also, the HVAC duct is a very good place to hang these from, as the air from the HVAC duct will make the "mole"bile move around.
