In Spanish class this semester I learned a lot about the language as well as the Spanish culture. Spanish was my favorite class this year. We did many fun projects including the Exhibition Project and the Children's Book.
In the Exhibition Project, my group researched the Spanish city Granada and made a Brochure, T-Shirt Design, Map of Granada, and Poster on Federico Garcia Lorca, a Granada-born poet.
In the Children's Book project, Arrianah and I wrote "Las Aventuras de Alejandro la Rana" about a frog who get's frog-napped by children on a boat.
The kids in Chula Vista loved our books!

Essential Questions for TPOL
VERB CONJUGATIONS
There are 3 different types of verbs, -ar -er -ir. Example hablar.
Hablar in this form is the infinitive, which means TO SPEAK. We need to conjugate this verb if we want to insert it into the sentece "Nosotros (HABLAR)" or else it means "We to speak."
First, we need to know the subject pronouns:
Yo = I
Tu = You
Usted = You (formal)
E´l= He
Ella= She
Nosotros= We
Ustedes = They all (formal)
Ellos = They (masculine)
Ellas = They (feminine)
Conjugations vary based on the subject pronoun, use this chart for the different conjugations for each verb/ subject pronoun.
You take the stem of the verb (so for Hablar the stem would be HABL) and add the following per verb/subject pronoun.

As you can see, if we want to say We speak, the correct conjugation is "NOSOTROS HABLAMOS"
2. Spanish and American cultures are different. For example, in Granada, Spain, there are castles, which shows Imam rulership centuries ago. In the US we do not really have anything from the British rulership anymore.
Also, the landscaping is different. In the US, especially the West, we have a lot of Mesas. In Spain, it is mostly a hilly terrain.
