Die with U S
This image is based on U S Airways safety record. They have had incidents such as Air Midwest ( U S Express) Flight 5481, which crashed into a U S Airways hangar in Charolotte killing all on board. Also, many incidents have happened such as the nose gear collapsing and bomb threats. This seems to be a weekly affiar on U S Airways. The backround image is a real image of a jet with an engine flameout on arrival. U S Airways' Slogan is Fly with U S whilst America West Airlines' is Get On Board. I chose to do this as my spoof ad as U S Airways is my favorite airlne and also because of their safety record. This Wednesday, November 15th, U S Airways proposed to merge with Delta Air Lines, to become the worlds largest airline, branded under the Delta name. In Photoshop, I matched the U S Airways font (Times New Roman with a stretched R) and I modified their logo using the Colored Pencil Filter. All in all, I enjoyed this project, and today (Novmber 17th, 2006) I am booked on U S Airways 1510 to Philadelphia.
(I hope they don't live up to their spoofed slogan today!)
